Lobby Receptionist Volunteer
Low demand lobby receptionist volunteer position at a community center in Spokane, WA.
- Help support a good cause that helps the neighborhood.
- Must attend in-person at RPG Research's East-Central Spokane Community Center location: 101 North Stone Street, Spokane, WA 99202. No remote option.
- Minimum 1 shift per week (5-hours per shift), maximum 2 shifts (your choice).
- Flexible schedule (your choice of shifts).
- The 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization RPG Research needs multiple part-time volunteer receptionists for the East-Central RPG Community Center.

We need multiple candidates to cover all available shifts. Shifts available (you may pick any combination one or two shifts):

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reliably and promptly arrive at the community center 30 minutes before we open the doors to the public.
- Prepare the check-in and reception desk
- Boot computer and login
- Prepare sign-in/out sheets
- Sanitize/spray down contact surfaces
- Unlock/lock public entrance (if needed)
- Prepare, hand-out, receive, and verify new member paperwork, code of conduct handouts, etc.
- Receive and route phone calls or take and route messages (very infrequent).
- Guide participants to the correct table/building/room to participate in our programs.
- Once open to the public the receptionist makes sure that people entering the center sign-in and out, verify their membership status, etc.
- As long as the receptionist is attentive to attendees coming and going, may watch/listen to streaming, music, read books, do homework, while at the reception desk. We just need someone to be in the lobby and controlling the flow of traffic in and out during public hours. This is a very low demand position.
- When public hours end, receptionist locks door(s), shuts down computers, puts paperwork away, and quickly sanitizes/wipes down contact areas of the desk, keyboard, light switches, door knobs, etc. with Lysol, etc.
- Must be 14+ years old (minors may need to have completed additional parental approval paperwork), senior adults welcomed as well.
- Minimum 1 shift per week.
- Must be reliable.
- Must be a good communicator (English, multi-lingual always a bonus).
