RPG Research's founder, Hawke Robinson, takes a "human network distributed model" approach to "load balancing" work loads across people, modelled after the Distributed.net distributed computer model.

For any one role/position/responsibility needing staff to fulfill, a minimum of 3 to 5 people are hired/assigned to distribute the load between them.

This helps reduce the risk of volunteer staff ovrerload or long-term burn-out.

This model has been succesfully implemented at RPG Research for many years. This is one of several reasons why 97% of RPG Research's volunteers remain volunteers year after year.
